An Open Letter to DIY Website Owners

Dear DIY Website Owners,

My name is Opal and I’m a professional website developer. I work for a two-person company in Georgetown, Ontario that specializes in websites, print marketing and branding.

I just wanted to send you a note congratulating you on tackling a big challenge and winning. Coming up with a brand and building a website on your own is no small task — and I think you did a great job.

What business do I have saying that, you wonder. What’s my motivation?

That’s simple: starting a business is tough work and we know the budget is beyond tight. You’re busy launching that product or service, and your current DIY marketing solutions are doing just fine thankyouverymuch. You’re the scrappy new kid and the DIY logo is your badge of authenticity.

Almost all of our clients have started out this way, investing the blood, sweat, and tears into figuring it out themselves. When you’re running a new business, you do everything yourself until the business sprouts and turns into a nice sturdy seedling. Then–and only then–do you start to seek solutions for the jobs that no longer make sense for you to do.

This moment is when hiring Design & Develop makes sense. We help grow seedlings into trees by putting that professional polish and experience into your brand and marketing. We bump you up to that next level where appearances really start to matter and attention to details can make or break a deal.

So, celebrate your victories and keep moving ahead. You really are doing a great job.
